After the roaring success of last year’s event, a Tractor and Truck Run will be held once again in Stradbally this year on Sunday, February 1.
The Tractor and Truck Run will take place in aid of the local school, St Colman’s NS, organised by the Parents Council.
Community spirit will be on full display in Stradbally next month as families, farmers and hauliers come together for a Tractor and Truck Run in support of St Colman’s National School.
In its second year, the event will take place on Sunday, February 1, with all funds raised going towards the development of a new outdoor play area.
Strong support is expected from Stradbally and surrounding areas, highlighting the generosity and pride of the local community.
Registration for the Tractor & Truck Run will open from 12pm at Stradbally Town and Country, with the main run getting underway at 1.30pm.
An entry fee of €20 applies to all tractors and trucks, with proceeds directly supporting the school’s play area project.
Earlier in the day, a Junior Tractor Run will take place at 1pm, giving younger children the chance to get involved and enjoy the excitement of the day. This children’s run is free to enter, and prizes will be awarded for the best-decorated junior vehicle.
Following the runs, refreshments will be served in St Joseph’s Hall from 2.30pm, providing an opportunity for participants and spectators to gather.
A mega raffle will take place at 3.30pm, featuring prizes kindly donated by local businesses and St Colman’s Parents Council, with all proceeds again going towards the new outdoor play facility.
The event is being organised by the St Colman’s NS Parents’ Council, who wish to sincerely thank the volunteers, local businesses and community members who have contributed their time, donations and support.
Everyone is encouraged to attend on the day, whether taking part in the run or cheering from the sidelines, for what promises to be a memorable and uplifting community occasion.
