Ballyfin GAA club’s popular 6km walk/run returns this weekend, giving competitiors the chance to have a look at the stunning Ballyfin Demesne.
The fundraising event will take place on Sunday, January 25, begining at 11am, with registration numbers available from 10am, and participants are advised to arrive early.
A spokesperson said: “We’re delighted to announce that our annual 6k walk/run through the beautiful grounds of Ballyfin Demesne will take place this Sunday, January 25.
“This year we are asking everyone where possible to register & pay online in advance which will give us a better idea of numbers taking part and will make the entry process on the day much faster. (Walk-ins on the day will be accommodated also).
“Everyone who buys a ticket will also be entered into a draw to win a meal for two in Ballyfin House.

“Registration will start at 10 am in the community hall in Ballyfin. Race/walk starts at 11am.”
There is over €400 in total prize money on offer for race winners, with prizes awarded across senior and juvenile categories.
Race prizes are as follows:
- 1st Man: €100
- 1st Woman: €100
- 2nd Man: €50
- 2nd Woman: €50
- 3rd Man: €25
- 3rd Woman: €25
- Under 16: 1st Boy €30, 1st Girl €30
