The Laois senior hurlers have made three changes to their side who will host Derry on Sunday afternoon.

The first change comes between the sticks where Borris-Kilcotton’s Eoin Fleming replaces Cathal Dunne.

The next switch is in defence where Rosenallis’ Fiachra C-Fennell is in with Podge Delaney dropping out of the side.

Captain David Dooley moves to midfield alongside Eoin Gaughan with Aidan Corby coming out of the 26 altogether.

While his spot, which is now in the forwards, has gone to Castletown’s Martin Phelan.

A novel fixture greeted Laois to open their NHL Division 2 campaign last week as they travelled out to the wilds of Mayo to the club grounds of Tooreen.

As for the game itself, it was over after 15 minutes in all reality with Laois holding a 12 point lead by that stage without even allowing a solid chance for Mayo to shoot let alone score.

The full forward line of Mossy Keyes, James Keyes and Cillian Dunne was electrifying in the opening 35 minutes of the game as they combined for 5-7 of Laois’s 5-15 half time score, with Mayo managing just a point.

The second half drifted and Sunday’s opponents also received a hiding in Round 1.

They were taken apart by Kerry and Laois will be expecting a similar story here.

LAOIS: Eoin Fleming; Ian Shanahan, Ciaran McEvoy, Cody Comerford; Fiachra C-Fennell, Lee Cleere, Ryan Mullaney; David Dooley, Eoin Gaughan; Martin Phelan, Jack Kelly, Aaron Dunphy; Cillian Dunne, James Keyes, Tomas Keyes
