Mountrath Community School were delighted to welcome members of the local Mountrath St Vincent de Paul (SVP) group to the school recently.
Here, the group met with the school’s young SVP students.
The students had recently completed their Direct Aid project.
During the visit, students proudly presented a €500 donation raised through our Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser.
This money will go directly towards supporting those in need within the local community.
The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to learn more about the important work carried out by SVP.
They also heard first-hand how funds are used to support individuals and families, and build meaningful connections with local SVP members.
It was a wonderful example of community spirit in action and highlighted the positive impact young people can have when they come together to support others.
