Portlaoise Educate Together NS had their annual Valentine’s cake sale on Friday last with all proceeds going towards the school’s library.

This year’s fundraiser didn’t disappoint as hundreds of cakes arrived in the early hours of the morning from parents and staff.

Renovating the school’s library is an expensive project but with well over €1000 raised on the day, a dyslexia section can now be funded along with new books for the school and the reading area in the library can now be furnished.

The staff and the parents association would like to thank all those who brought baked goods and volunteered on the day.
