Cash and jewellery stolen as thieves clean out house in Clonaslee

Cash, clothes, jewellery, a TV and mechanical items were among the items taken from a house in Clonaslee last week after thieves broke into the house by smashing a patio door with a gas cylinder.

The house – in Cush, Clonaslee – was burgled between 7.30am and 4pm on Friday last and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

Portlaoise break-in

Gardai are also investigating a break-in at two houses under construction in Portlaoise. Cookers, gas boilers and copper piping was taken from houses at Ashewood Walk in Summerhill Lane.
