Lambing season well underway as Cosby Hall welcomes arrivals

Kayla gets to hold a new spring lamb, with some advice from Tom Cosby

Lambing is well and truly underway as these photos from Cosby Hall over the weekend show.

These photographs were sent to us by John Whelan who was in Stradbally over the weekend and snapped some of this season’s early spring lambs.

While there has been some unsettled weather so far this year, lambs have been slowly making an appearance in fields and will soon be a sight to behold across the county and beyond.

Young Kayla in the photographs was delighted to get up close and personal with the lambs, with some advice and tips from all the team at Cosby’s.

The lands at Cosby Hall recently hit the headlines when an old grenade, discovered during renovations of a house in the town, was denotated on lands there.

Sheep in nearby fields seemed unimpressed with the large explosion, but obviously were undurly affected as the recent spring arrivals show.
