Fourth house burglary in Ballylinan


Gardaí are investigating a fourth house burglary in Ballintubbert, Ballylinan over the weekend in which an assortment of coins was taken.

The theft took occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning, March 4 and 5.

This is the fourth burglary to have taken place in the area. Three houses were broken into in the area on Saturday, March 4. During one of these robberies a shotgun was taken from one of the houses.

Gardai have appealed to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area over the weekend to contact them. It is believed the thieves used a car during the course of the robberies and people in the area may have seen the car over the course of the weekend.

Entry to the houses was gained by forcing rear windows. In one case, a sensor/alarm was damaged during the robbery.
