Portlaoise end minis and youth rugby season with awards night

Portlaoise RFC held the minis (U-7 to U-12) and youth (U-13 to U-18) awards last Friday with special guest for the night being former Portlaoise RFC and current Connacht player Eoghan Masterson.

A large attendance saw Eoghan presenting medals to all of the minis players and the evening followed with presentations to the award winners on the youth teams. The recipients were:

U-13 ‘A’ Player of the Year:  (joint) Ciaran Culleton and James Conroy

U-13 ‘A’ Players Player of Year:  James Conroy

U-13 ‘A’ Most Improved Player: Callen Dunne

U-13 ‘B’ Player of the Year: Jack Heffernan

U-13 ‘B’ Players Player of Year: Jack Heffernan

U-13 ‘B’ Most Improved Player: Corey Bartley

U-14 Player of the Year: Fionn Ging

U-14 Players Player of Year: Ben Reddin

U-14 Most Improved Player: Sam Birranne

U-15 Girls Player of the Year: Jorja Mullen

U-15 Girls Players Player of Year: Alison Kelly

U-15 Girls Most Improved Player: Rose Leonard

U-16 Player of the Year: Alex Boetene

U-16 Players Player of Year: Alex Boetene

U-16 Most Improved Player: Adam Duffin

U-18 Girls Player of the Year: Alice Dunne

U-18 Girls Players Player of Year: Aine Camphuijsen

U-18 Girls Most Improved Player: Aoife Bracken

U-18 Player of the Year: Jack Reddin

U-18 Players Player of Year: Diarmuid Joyce

U-18 Most Improved Player: Cian Crossan



A great night to finish off a successful season.

Training resumes next September with new players welcome in all age groups.
