It was a busy night of Laois GAA club action with a full schedule of games in ACHL Division 1 and ACFL Division 1B while O’Dempsey’s win over The Heath in Division 1B edged them ever closer to a league final with three rounds remaining.
Portarlington’s second win of the season over Ballylinan sees those two level at the top of the table while Killeshin missed a chance to close the gap at the top as they drew with Arles-Kilcruise. The point gained by Arles sees them move one ahead of Crettyard at the bottom of the table. Cretty were beaten 3-11 to 3-8 by Emo. Portlaoise got the better of an understrength Annanough side.
In Division 1 of the hurling, Clough-Ballacolla remain unbeaten following a two-point win over Rathdowney-Errill while Ballinakill got their first win of the season as they got the better of Camross. Borris-Kilcotton were much too strong for Castletown and Portlaoise had two points to spare over Abbeyleix.
