In Pictures: Laois Athletics Summer League commences on sunny day in Vicarstown

The Laois Athletics Summer Track & Field League got off to a great start on Monday night, with athletes and parents enjoying a warm sunny evening and some fun competition in the Annanough GAA grounds in Vicarstown.

After the serious endeavours of the Leinster Juvenile Championship at the weekend, the emphasis on Monday was on FUN FUN FUN.

No electronic timing, no false starts, no medals, and no disqualifications!

The event featured Hurdles, Shot Putt, Turbo-Javelin, Sprints, and some middle distance – with every age-group doing 2 events.

Results are published below, and the photo-gallery speaks for itself – plenty of smiling faces.
