Appeal after copper piping stolen from Ballybrittas pub

Gardaí are appealing for information after copper piping was stolen from a pub in Ballybrittas.

A man was spotted leaving Bolands Pub at 2pm and copper piping was noticed to have been stolen a short time after.

This was the third incident of copper being stolen in the county over the weekend.

The first occurred at Scoil Brid Portlaoise sometime between Friday July 14 and Saturday July 15.

A copper cylinder and copper from the roof were taken during the robbery.

A copper cylinder was also taken from a house at Clonbarrow in Mountrath between Saturday July 15 and Sunday July 16 between 12pm and 5pm.

Crime Prevention Officer Graham Kavanagh is appealing for anyone with information on either crime to come forward.
