All smiles from Junior Infants of St Patricks National School in Ballylinan

St Patrick’s NS in Ballylinan welcomed 20 new Junior Infant students this year to the school.

And the new students were delighted to take the time out of class to get their picture taken for LaoisToday.

Our photographer was on hand yesterday to snap all the happy faces as they settled into to academic life.

Some Senior Infant students even managed to get their photograph taken in the classroom.

This is also the first year for Mr. John Threadgold to be in the hot seat as school principal.

He took over this year from highly popular principal Fran Moloney who retired last June having spent the past 29 years as head of the school.
