The Laois branch of the Republic of Ireland Soccer Supporters Club is planning its next trip to the AVIVA Stadium.

Just last week the group, which only formed over the summer, went on its first trip.

32 of them piled onto a bus and headed for the AVIVA Stadium for the clash between Ireland and Serbia in the World Cup qualifiers.

They were joined by a number of other members upon arrival and a great evening was had by all – despite the result.

The newly formed club is gaining members all the time and are hoping to gather more support in the coming months.

So far, the majority of the members are from Portlaoise, Stradbally and the surrounding areas.

Their next meeting takes place tonight in Kavanaghs pub at 9pm.

Any members looking to order tickets for the Moldova game on October 6, must have their order and payment in on Thursday night as Friday is deadline.

Also, they will be running another members bus to the game like the Serbia game last week.

The €20 return fare has to be in on Thursday night also. Other business will be discussed so attendance is encouraged.

To join Laois Rissc, membership is €20 for an adult, €30 a family and €10 a student.
