LAOISTODAY LAUNCH

After months of planning, the lineup has been confirmed for the LaoisToday official launch which takes place in the Midlands Park Hotel on Friday night.

Midlands 103 radio presenter Ann Marie Kelly is the MC for the event, the centrepiece of which will be a Game Show between an assortment of Laois ‘celebrities’.

As well as LaoisToday staff members Alan Hartnett and Julie Anne Miller, the others taking part are Laois footballer Ross Munnelly, former Laois Rose Kate Hyland, comedian Mark Doheny, retired Laois hurler Brian Stapleton and Snapchat Sensations Bernard ‘BMan’ Rochford, Mary Phelan and the hilarious Portarlington sister act duo of Janet Bennett and Aisling ‘Nailers’ O’Neill.

The official launch of LaoisToday will mark the unveiling of apps for Android and iOS devices while the 2017 LaoisToday Annual – a high-quality 160-page publication which will make for an ideal Christmas stocking filler – will be on sale on the night too.

The night will be a ‘Celebration of all things Laois’ with a number of local food and drink producers present with samples. They will be 12 Acres Brewery, Ballykilcavan Brewery, Brennan’s Old House Gin and Kelly Lou Cakes.

There will also be a number of excellent prizes on offer for those who purchase a book. Among these is a break in the world-renowned Ballymaloe House in Cork – a business with strong Laois connections – a hamper to the value of €200 for Bankz Hair and Beauty in Portlaoise, a meal voucher for Kelly’s Steakhouse, a hamper from Fifty Seven Boutique and Gift Emporium and prizes from all the exhibitors.

Steven Miller, owner and managing editor of LaoisToday, will speak also while well known DJ Ollie Plunkett will be providing additional entertainment over the course of the evening.

The team at LaoisToday would like to extend an invite to all our followers to join us in the Midlands Park Hotel from 7.30pm.
