The East Laois Macra group recently presented Cuan Mhuire Athy with a cheque for €1,000 following a successful fundraising effort.

Every year, East Laois host an event with the intention of giving to a local charity.

For 2017 it was decided that money raised would go to Cuan Mhuire Athy and they held a pre-Halloween Fancy Dress on October 14.

On the night, representatives of Cuan Mhuire attended and the event was a great success.
