Appeal after gas cylinders stolen from Portlaoise business

Ergas cylinders were stolen

A Portlaoise business has appealed to the public not to buy gas cylinders from unlicensed dealers after they were burgled.

Reliable Home Furnishers had their premises broken into on Wednesday night.

Thieves made away with a dozen gas cylinders and gardaí are now investigating.

Reliable Home Furnishers released a statement on their Facebook page where they asked people not to buy gas from ‘unlicensed dealers’.

They said: “Last night two scumbags entered our premises and robbed a dozen small and large cylinders of red Ergas.

“The Guards have been informed and are currently investigating the incident.

“Thankfully our CCTV got some great footage.

“Please do not buy gas from unlicensed dealers and report any suspicious dealers to the local Gardaí.”
