Laois community groups can avail of music grant scheme

Laois community groups will now have the opportunity to apply for funding for instruments through the Music Capital Scheme.

This is being run by the Music Network in partnership with the Laois County Council Arts Office.

Open for applications

The Music Capital Scheme is now open for applications. The deadline finishes on Tuesday, February 20 at 12pm.

An information night will be held at the Portlaoise Further Education and Training Centre in Tower Hill, Portlaoise, on Friday, February 9 at 7pm.

The Music Capital Scheme is supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and is managed by Music Network.

It comprises of two distinct awards that provide funding for the purchase of musical instruments to both non-professional performing groups and to individual professional performing musicians. This session will focus on non-professional community groups.
