Michael Gannon, 18th March 2018, Castlegar Nursing Home, formerly of Hidden Valley, Woodquay and formerly of Marian Hill, Portarlington, Co Laois. Beloved husband of Monica and father of the late Fiona, will be sadly missed by his wife, son Michael, sisters Myra and Kathleen, brother-in-law Eddie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Irwin’s Funeral Home, Bóthar Irwin on Wednesday 21st from 5pm. Removal at 7pm to St Patrick’s Church, Forster Street. Mass on Thursday at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Shannon Crematorium to arrive at 1.30pm approximately. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Irish Lung Association.

Michael Mooney
Ashfield, Ballickmoyler, Laois

Peacefully after a short illness at his home surrounded by his family. Michael will be sadly missed by his beloved Kathleen, daughters Mary and Deirdre, sons Padraig, Bernard, Michael, Eoin and Edwin, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, twenty one grandchildren, brothers Tom, James, Joe and sister Ann, and his predeceased brothers and sisters John, Bill, Patsy, Dilly and Brigid, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ashfield from 2pm on Tuesday. Vigil Prayers & Rosary on Tuesday at 9pm. Removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Arles, on Wednesday for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family Time on Wednesday morning. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Laois Hospice Foundation (Donation Box in Church).

Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget, Kilkenny/Mountrath, Laois

The death has taken place of Joe Walsh, Resident of Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny & formerly of Roskelton, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Sadly missed by his friends and relatives. Reposing at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget. Vigil Prayers and Rosary on Tuesday evening at 8pm. Removal from Brookhaven Nursing Home on Wednesday morning to Saint Fintan’s Church, Mountrath for 11am Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Raheen Cemetery.

Bridie Chamberlain (née Dunne)
Kingswood Heights, Dublin 24, Dublin/Timahoe, Laois

Chamberlain (nee Dunne) (Kingswood Heights and formerly of Knocklaid, Timahoe, Co. Laois) – Mar 16, 2018, (peacefully), surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Sally Park Nursing Home, Bridie, beloved wife of the late Edward and dear mother of Robert, Jim (deceased) and Brede; Sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, brother Peter, sister Mary, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Avril, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Monday from 5.00pm to 7.00pm at the Ramon Massey & Son Funeral Home, 78 Walkinstown Road, (opposite Supervalu). Removal on Tuesday to St. Killian’s Church, Kingswood arriving for 10.00am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Cemetery. Johanna Patricia (Hannie) Heslin (née Byrne)
Glasnevin, Dublin/Maganey, Laois

Late of Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Killabban, Maganey, Co. Laois. Peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff of the Mountpleasant Lodge Nursing Home, Kilcock. Loving wife of the late Seamus. Very deeply regretted by her daughters Máirín and Aideen, sons Pádraic and Finbarr, brother, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal on Monday evening (March 19) to arrive at St. Columba’ s Church, Iona Road at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning, (March 20), at 11am followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Mary Brigid Bennett, (neé Kavanagh), formerly of Derry, Portlaoise and late of Glenbower, Mountrath, Co. Laois. – Died 13th March 2018, in the tender loving care of nurses and staff of Maryborough Centre, Portlaoise. Wife of the late William and mother to Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter, brothers, sister, extended family, relatives and friends. Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Thursday evening from 6.0’clock with Rosary at 7.30pm. Removal on Friday afternoon at 1.30pm to St. Edmund’s Church Castletown, for Requiem Mass at 2.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Vincent (Foxrock, Co. Dublin and late of Mountmellick and formerly J.V. Tierney & Co) March 14, 2018 (peacefully) at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Vera, much loved father of Aidan, Maeve, Alex and Rachel. Sadly missed by his wife, children and their partners, his grandchildren Sam, Emma and Ali, his extended family and friends. Removal Friday to the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Foxrock arriving for 1.30pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

Fintan Dowling, Camross, Co. Laois and Dorchester, Boston, U.S.A. – Died 8th March 2018 (unexpectedly) in Dorchester. Sadly missed by his loving family. Reposing at his family home in Derrycarrow, Camross on Thursday, (March 15th), from 5 o’clock with Rosary at 9 o’clock. Removal to St. Fergal’s Church, Camross on Friday (March 16th), for Requiem Mass at 11.30a.m. with Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
