Big crowd expected for The Heath’s Easter Sunday dawn mass

The Heath Church will celebrate this year’s Dawn Mass on Easter Sunday morning.

This is an annual event and this year, Bishop Denis Nulty will lead the mass which starts at 6am outside the Church of the Assumption in The Heath.

Big crowds attend the mass every year and it is one of the highlights of Easter in Laois.

There will many other events taking place around Laois to celebrate the Easter weekend, including many Stations of the Cross.

This year in Portlaoise, replica images of the Stations will be placed along the route from O’Moore Place to the Parish Church. These Stations will be placed throughout this Holy Week. The procession will stop at each Station for prayer. The event will start at 1pm in O’Moore Place.
