Mountrath GAA submit plans to build an astroturf

There could be an exciting development in Mountrath GAA.

The club, which plays in the Senior A hurling championship with Laois, lodged a planning application.

They intend to build an astroturf area with associated lighting and fencing.

They also intend to erect four lights on both sides of the main pitch.

Elsewhere, Planning permission has been lodged for a new housing development in Stradbally.

Metapod Capital Services Limited intend to apply for permission at The Green, Stradbally in Laois.

The development consists of the construction of terrace houses.
