Formerly of Wolfhill, Co. Laois. Ex C.Q.M.S. Irish Army, The Curragh Camp and Naas Apprentice Naas. Peacefully, at St. Brigids Hospice, Moore Abbey surrounded by his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Philomena, sons Patrick, Noel, Tony and Philip, daughter Penny, grandchildren, great-grandson, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers Joseph, Eddie and Johnny, sisters Mary, Ita (RIP) and Kathleen (RIP), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his family home from 5pm on Monday with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10:30am to arrive at Saint Brigid’s Church, Kill, for requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Corban’s Cemetery, Naas. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the friends of St. Brigid’s Hospice, Moore Abbey. Donations box in church.

Mary O’Keeffe (née Comerford)
Cappauniac, Bansha, Tipperary/Laois

Mary (late of The Swan, Co. Laois), passed away peacefully in her 97th year in the wonderful care of St. Martha’a Nursing Home, Toureen, Cahir. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Edward (Ned) son Martin, daughter in law Helen, sisters Bridie, and Liz (Field), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Coady’s Funeral home Castlecomer on Sunday evening from 5.00oc with removal at 7.00oc to arrive at St. Patrick’s Church, Clogh, Castlecomer, at 7.30oc. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11.00oc followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Anthony (Tony) O’Neill
Castlemitchell, Athy, Kildare/Stradbally, Laois

(Castlemitchell, Athy and late of Garrons, Stradbally, Co. Laois) Peacefully, at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his loving niece Jacinta and her wife Geraldine, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reposing at his niece Jacinta O’Donnell’s residence, Castlemitchell, Athy (Eircode R14X380) from 4pm on Sunday evening with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday evening at 6.30pm to arrive at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy for 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 11am followed by burial in St. Michael’s New Cemetery, Athy.

Theresa Walsh (née McEvoy)
Rathfarnham, Dublin/Ballinakill, Laois
Walsh (nee McEvoy), Theresa, late of Rathfarnham and formerly Ballinakill, Co. Laois, died peacefully April 13th, 2018, wife of the late John (Jack). Sadly missed by her daughters Gráinne, Colette, Deirdre and Niamh. Sons-in-law John, Brian, Michael and Des, loving grandchildren Aoife, Roísín, Luke, Clodagh, Ainé, Odhran, Jack and Eoghan, sisters, brothers, extended family and friends.

Removal on Thursday (April 19th) morning to the Church of the Annunciation, Rathfarnham, arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral afterwards to Bohernabreena Cemetery.

Clondarrig, Portlaoise, Laois

Downey, Clondarrig, Portlaoise, April 12th 2018. (Suddenly) John (Johnny). Son of the lade John and Ellen Downey and brother of the late Michael and Mary. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brother Dick, sisters Lucy, and Eileen, brothers-in-law, Tony and James, sisters-in-law Kathleen and Patricia, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Portlaoise from 4 pm on Saturday, with removal at 5.45 pm to arrive at St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin for 6.30pm via Clondarrig. Requiem Mass at 10 am on Sunday followed by interment in Clondarrig Cemetery.

John (Jack) Byrne
Stradbally, Laois/Athy, Kildare

Stradbally, Co. Laois and Late of Castlepark, Athy, Co. Kildare. Reposing at his niece Cora Foley’s residence, 3 Rathstewart Crescent, Athy, from 6pm on Friday evening with Rosary at 8pm.

Removal at 10.30am on Saturday morning, to arrive at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Athy for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Michael’s New Cemetery, Athy.

Bridie Conroy (née Dunne)
O’Moore Street, Mountmellick, Laois

Bridie Conroy (nee Dunne) (Retired National Teacher) O’Moore Street, Mountmellick. Peacefully in the loving care of the Staff of Kilminchy Lodge. Beloved wife of the late Paddy. Deeply regretted by her sons and daughters Danny, Noeleen, Pat, Eugene, Miriam, Joe and Michelle, sons-in-law David, Hugh and Mick and daughters-in-law Máirín, Olive and Karen, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home on Friday from 7pm. Recital of The Rosary at 9pm. Prayers in the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11am. Removal at 11.50am to St. Joseph’s Church for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Family flowers only. Dontations, if desired, to The Ben & Jake Foundation. Donation Box will be in place in the Funeral Home and Church.
