Well what a night that was!
Camross native Grainne Hogan was crowned Laois Rose at the selection night at the Midlands Park Hotel on Sunday evening.
Described by MC Ollie Turner as ‘The most glamorous farmer in the country’, Grainne was sponsored by Sheeran’s Pub, Coolrain.
They have a history of producing successful Rose applicants over the years.
Former Sheeran’s Roses include winners Ailbhe Culleton in 2015 and Kate Hyland in 2016.
Grainne works with Noel and Breda Dooley in Ballacolla and was inspired to enter the Laois Rose by her three-year-old nephew Frankie who has Spina Bifida.
“He’s amazing, no matter what he’s always smiling,” said Grainne.
The former Mountrath CS student also had a mighty crowd from Camross Macra here supporting her, and her first primary school teacher Fiona Delaney was on sign duty for the night.
The LaoisToday team was there in force on the evening to capture all of the action as it happened.
