All Saturday’s Laois GAA and soccer results

All the sports results

An extremely busy Saturday of action on the sporting front domestically has just concluded.

On the inter-county scene, it was a mixed day. The senior hurlers gave their Joe McDonagh Cup hopes a shot in the arm by defeating Antrim.

But the minor hurlers were well beaten by Dublin and face Kilkenny next week in their final group game.

There were also some interesting results in the Laois GAA leagues too with four teams now tied in second place in Division 1A – while we have new leaders in Division 1B in the form of Ballyroan-Abbey.

Meanwhile, on the soccer front, Emo Celtic completed a league and cup double by defeating Portlaoise B.
