Laois senior football team named for crunch Westmeath clash

The Laois senior football team - Paul Dargan

Laois senior football boss John Sugrue has named his team for the Leinster quarter final against Westmeath on Saturday.

For the first time since 2008, Laois will hope to advance to the Leinster semi final when the teams clash at 5pm in O’Connor Park in Tullamore.

And ahead of that game, they have made three changes from the win over Wexford and a number of positional switches.

Gary Walsh, David Conway and Ruaidhri C-Fennell all drop out of the starting 15.

Fennell’s place in defence goes to Finbarr Crowley with captain Stephen Attride moving into the corner back position.

Paul Kingston comes in at centre forward with brother Donie moving to full forward in place of Gary Walsh.

While David Conway also loses out in favour of Portlaoise’s Benny Carroll.

Laois will go to battle on Saturday evening and LaoisToday will be there to bring you all the action as it happens.

We will be live-blogging, Snapchatting and our photographer will also be on site to capture all the excitement.

LAOIS: Graham Brody; Stephen Attride, Mark Timmons, Gareth Dillon; Trevor Collins, Colm Begley, Finbarr Crowley; John O’Loughlin, Kieran Lillis; Alan Farrell, Paul Kingston, Damien O’Connor; Ross Munnelly, Donie Kingston, Benny Carroll
