Barrowhouse and Killeen are gearing up for their annual tractor run

The people of Barrowhouse and Killeen will certainly be hoping for the warm weather to stay as their sixth annual Tractor Run gets underway on Sunday June 3.

This year’s chosen charity is the Irish Heart Foundation and there are new additions to this year’s event.

Mini farmer run

Kids or ‘mini farmers’ will also have their own run before the adults get their tractors on the road.

Brendan McDonald is on the organising committee for the run.

He said: “The Tractor Run has been running for a number of years now and is always well supported by the local agricultural community.

“As well as locals from the area who love bringing the kids down to see all the tractors.”
