In Pictures: Great turnout for the annual Fleadh in Mountmellick

Mountmellick was filled with Irish music as the Laois Fleadh took place on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The atmosphere was electric with dancing competitions on Friday night.

These also took place all through Saturday and Sunday in Mountmellick Comminuty School.

O’Connell Square played host to a family fun day and gig rig on Sunday afternoon.

While Céilí Mór took place in Owenass Hall on Monday.

Among the incredible 438 entries were 16 Grupaí Cheoil with up to 20 members in each.

There wasalso a similar number of Ceili Bands with ten members each.

Our photographer went along over the weekend and sampled the best of the action.
