Timahoe is set for a jam-packed family fun day this weekend

Timahoe will be a hive of activity with bikes, road races, tractor runs, picnics and everything else you can think of this Sunday, June 17.

Stradbally, Vicarstown and Timahoe Activity & Wellness Hub are hosting Bikes and Bites, – an activity filled morning for you and your bicycle. All ages and bike types will be accommodated – so long as rider and bike are roadworthy!

Medley Day

The long-running annual Medley Day takes place from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday.

A tractor run starts off the day with registration from 12.30pm in the hall. All the usual fun activities will take place, and the SVT Medley Mile will be a feature of the proceedings.

The ‘Medley Mile’ road race takes place at 3pm with registration from 2.30pm. In addition to the Medley Mile there will be an 800m race for the U-10’s, and a 1k race for the U-16’s – both will be held before the mile race.

You can even bring your picnic and dine ‘Al Fresco’ – and there’s even free ice-cream for all the children who compete.

Father’s get on your marks and get the ‘dad bods’ ready – after the Medley Mile, a Father’s Day run will be held.

This looks set to be a jam-packed day and LaoisToday will be there to cover all the action live from the events.
