Weekend scorcher on the cards again as temperatures set to rise

Father Paddy 18 things to remember for summer

For the second successive weekend, the lovely people at Met Eireann are predicting another scorcher.

Our weather this week could be described as ‘grand’.

There has been little or no rain again, a side from the odd shower, but we haven’t seen a whole lot of sunshine either.

It has been relatively dull with just the odd drop of sunshine here and there.

However, that is all set to change this weekend, according to Met Eireann.

They say: “This weekend will have mostly dry weather and getting warmer again with highs of 21C to 27C.

“Saturday will be mostly dry with good sunny spells and just the odd shower.

“Sunday will be very warm, humid and overall it will be a mostly dry day with just some patchy light rain or drizzle at times and patches of mist and hill fog.

“Top temperatures will be in the low to mid twenties in a light to moderate westerly breeze.”

And the forecast at present is for more of the same on Monday before we see a change on Tuesday with showers forecast.

So the message from us is to get out this weekend and enjoy it while you can!
