We’ve reached the final day of the first week of football championship action in Laois.
Today will see four senior football matches, two intermediate football games and one junior match.
And our first live blog of the day will focus on the double header in O’Moore Park as well as one of the intermediate games and one of the junior matches.
It all gets underway at 12.30pm when Clonaslee-St Manman’s Gaels take on Killeshin in O’Moore Park.
And that game will be followed at the same venue by Arles-Killeen and 2017 intermediate champions Emo.
Meanwhile, also at 12.30pm, St Joseph’s and Timahoe are in Ratheniska to begin their intermediate campaigns for this year.
And the fourth game that will be featured in this blog sees The Heath host Kilcavan in the first round of the junior championship.
From the team that won Division 3 of the league a few weeks ago, The Heath lost seven of the team that played that night to their seniors who were defeated by St Joseph’s last night.
JP Nerney, Mark Dowling, Liam Kinsella, Shane Forde, Mark Dunne, Cathal Whelan and Neil Keane are now all ineligible after playing at the higher grade.
We will have reporters at all three venues and you can follow all the action as it happens below:
