Senior replays, relegation deciders, county finals and ladies semi-finals on a busy week of fixtures

O'Moore Park

The Electric Picnic dominates everything in Laois this week – with the GAA fixtures all shoe-horned into the mid-week slots in order to leave the weekend entirely free.

And with a couple of senior football championship games finishing level last week and junior county finals in hurling and football down for decision, it means that O’Moore Park hosts two midweek double headers – on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

On Tuesday, Arles-Kilcruise and Ballyroan-Abbey meet in a replay of their Round 3 Laois SFC game and that is preceeded by the Junior ‘B’ football decider between Castletown and Rosenallis.

Then on Wednesday, Ballylinan and O’Dempsey’s meet in their Round 3 replay with the Junior ‘C’ hurling final on beforehand between Portlaoise and Ballyfin. The two Laois ladies football semi-finals are also fixed for Wednesday with Portlaoise meeting St Conleth’s and champions Sarsfields taking on Timahoe.

On Thursday, Castletown Gaels are back in O’Moore Park, this time for the senior hurling relegation clash against Ballyfin Gaels. All four Junior ‘A’ football quarter-finals are also scheduled for Thursday.

There are no GAA fixtures on Friday, Saturday or Sunday with juvenile games returning on Monday evening.
