For the first time in a number of years, the Ladies football and camogie finals will be played in O’Moore.
Laois GAA chairman Peter O’Neill informed LaoisToday that he had offered the associations the use of the county grounds to host their finals.
He said he was delighted to hear they had accepted and looked forward to some great games.
The first of the finals takes place on Saturday September 8 in O’Moore Park and is a triple header.
The junior ladies final between St Paul’s and Ballyfin is up first at 3pm.
That is followed by the intermediate ladies final at 5pm and sees Shanahoe face Graiguecullen.
The senior final is then on at 7.15pm where six in a row chasing Sarsfields take on the side they defeated last year – Portlaoise.
The camogie final is set for Friday September 21 with a time still to be confirmed.
However, before the talks of finals can be mentioned in camogie clubs – there are the semi-finals to deal with first and foremost.
The Harps will play off against Camross while second place O’Moore’s and third place St Brigid’s will face each other on Sunday, 16 September.
