Well-known historical Laois property goes up for sale

A historic Laois property is now up for sale. Grattan House, located in Grattan Business Park on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise, is now on the market.

Grant Business Park is flanked immediately by the Midlands Regional Hospital, Midlands Prison and Laois Education Centre.

The three-storey Georgian-period office building is based in the centre of Grattan Business Park. It was refurbished in 2006 and the sale includes 48 parking spaces.

History of Grattan House

The near derelict Old County Infirmary building was conserved and restored and the provision of two additional stand alone office pavilion buildings.

Internally, the building is approximately 1,270 square metres and the lease area is 975 square metres with a net initial yield of 13.4 percent.

It is partly occupied by the Commissioner of Public Works Ireland and the passing rent of €101,750 per annum with one tenant vacating.

Also up for sale is a mid-terrace retail warehouse unit in Barrow Valley Retail Park in Graiguecullen. The retail space is approximately 1,730 square metres and is advertised as having ample car parking spaces.
