Stellar second half sees Sarsfields through to the Leinster semi-finals

Sarsfields 0-20 Eadestown 1-8

Leinster Ladies senior football championship

The Laois senior ladies championship winners came from being one point down at half-time to finishing the match nine points ahead today.

Sarsfields went in 0-8 to 1-6 against the wind at half-time, but never faltered as they proved to be fitter and more equipped than their Kildare opponents to get the job done.

Gerry O’Flaherty’s side came out charged for the second-half, kicking six points without reply from Eadestown within the first 10 minutes.

Indeed the Kildare side only managed to get their two points of the half in the dying minutes of the game.

 A quick turnaround

Eleven members of the Sarsfields squad are now out for O’Moores in their camogie Leinster championship campaign tomorrow as they face Dublin intermediate champions Cuala in Parnell’s GAA, Coolock, at 2pm.
