What an achievement by these young ladies!

At a ceremony in UCD on Wednesday evening, three Laois students received awards.

The trio, who are all from Stradbally and attended St Colman’s NS, were honoured for their exceptionally high Leaving Cert results from their exams back in June.

Roisin Larkin, Dervla Scully and Kate Miller were among students from all over the country who were recognised by the college for their achievements.

Recipients of these awards are presented with a recognition certificate at a ceremony in November each year and their achievements are recorded on their academic transcript.

The three girls are well into their first year of studies in their respective courses.

Roisin Larkin is studying Physiotherapy and sat here Leaving Cert in Scoil Chriost Ri.

Kate Miller also attended Scoil Chriost Ri in Portlaoise and she is now studying Law and Social Justice.

While Dervla Scully, who is a past pupil of Ardscoil na Trionoide in Athy, is studying Computer Science.
