Laois Arts Centre scoops prestigious National Enterprise Towns awards

Huge congratulations are due to Mountmellick Arts Centre after collecting the ‘Town Initiatives of the Year’ prize at the Bank Of Ireland National Enterprise Towns awards 2018 last night.

The awards took place in the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny, with a total of 90 entrants.

Taking to Facebook, the Arts Centre said: “We are so happy and overwhelmed by the amazing prize we won from the Bank Of Ireland National Enterprise Towns awards 2018 last night.”

“We here at the Arts Centre would like to thank everyone involved in the application process of the Competition, the judges that took time in our town to see what we are trying to achieve here and for believing in us by awarding us.

“There are far too many people to mention by name that have made this achievement possible for us, but from the bottom of our Hearts we Thank each and everyone of you, our committee members, our staff, our patrons, the church and our community.

“Thank you to everyone also for your good wish messages and congratulatory posts it is all very much appreciated,” the status concluded.

The competition is held in collaboration with local authorities and aims to promote enterprise by bringing business and community groups together, to showcase the spirit of enterprise in their local area.
