New Laois intermediate camogie manager has been announced

Laois Camogie County Board have recently announced the new Laois Intermediate Camogie Manager for 2019.

Donal Franks will be taking charge of the side for 2019.

Donal won multiple Offaly, Leinster and All-Ireland honours with club and county during a successful playing career.

The Birr native successfully managed and coached several club and Inter-county teams.

Among these are the Westmeath Kingpins Clonkill, Birr, Naas, Abbeyleix, and Round Towers in Dublin.

He also coached/trained Westmeath County Senior hurlers to Christy Ring Final and Division 2 title as well as the Offaly senior camogie eam.

Donal brings along with him Strength & Conditioning coach Simon Smith.

Rosenallis man Simon previously served as Strength & Conditioning coach with the Laois intermediate team in 2017.

Camross native Pat Collier also joins Donal Franks as selector.

Pat was selector with the Laois camogie minor team for 2018 season and will continue as selector with the minor team which it is hoped to bridge the link between minor players and intermediate players.

Mary Dunne who previously served as selector/Player Liaison Officer for many years will also join the management panel.

Mary was involved with the Laois Premier Junior Team when they won the All-Ireland in 2015.

The Executive and County Board have wished Donal and his management panel every success in his new role with the  intermediate side.
