What a great sight to see.

After a 10-month injury spell, Alison Miller returned to her Old Belvedere side at the weekend.

Despite losing 14-5 to rivals UL Bohemians, Belvedere were boosted by the return of Ireland winger Alison Miller 10 months on from her horrific ankle injury against Italy.

The Laois woman made a huge impact coming off the bench. Once back to full-match fitness, Miller is sure to become a valuable asset for both club and country.

Miller has been a familiar sight on the Irish wing since 2010, earning 43 Irish caps so far.

However as she launched into a Six Nations clash against Italy last February, Miller fell to a nasty injury.

A compound ankle fracture kept her on the sidelines for the past 10 months, the same injury that forced professional soccer player, Seamus Coleman, out for 11 months.

Alison’s return shows the huge sporting genes and determination the amateur athlete has.

Here’s hoping she makes a return to flying down the wings for Ireland’s Six Nations campaign in 2019.
