Brought to you by Laois Tourism

You’ve had the turkey and ham, probably a couple of drinks, a half a box of Roses and you’ve watched enough bad TV to do you until the New Year.

Now it’s time to start thinking of getting out of the house.

And there is an amount of events around the county today to keep you entertained. Many of them are exercise-based but they won’t be too hard on you.

Ballyroan, Clonaslee, Durrow and Gathabawn are among the places that are hosting organised walks or runs.

And we also have details of some of the live music on in Laois this evening.

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26

Slieve Bloom Guided Walk

The Slieve Bloom Walking Club’s next guided walk is The Durrow Leafy Loops Walk.  This walk is a Grade B 14km walk and takes 4 hours so a good level of fitness is required.
