ESB Networks are looking for new apprentices

The ESB are due to open applications for their apprenticeship programme again in February 2019.

This four-year apprenticeship programme involves both indoor and outdoor work experience to obtain an internationally recognised QQI Advanced Level 6 Electrical Trade Certificate.

Candidates must complete an online application form stating why they are suitable for the apprenticeship.

Eligible candidates will receive an invitation via email to complete online aptitude tests. If they succeed in these, they will go follow to the interview stage.

Candidates must be aged 16 or over on or before June 1, 2019.

Entry requirements include having a Junior Cert Ordinary Level C/ Higher Level D or higher in:

  • English or Irish
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Any two other subjects

At Leaving Cert level, applicants are asked to have an O6/Ordinary Level D or higher in the following:

  • English or Irish
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Any two other subjects

Applications for the 2019 ESB Networks Apprenticeship Programme will open on Monday, February 18, 2019.
