Two men were arrested following a number of burglaries in Portlaoise in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, February 16.
The two males, aged in their 20s and 30s were stopped in a vehicle in the town.
Some of the property has recovered and both males were detained under section 42 of the Criminal Justice Act 1999.
Both men were questioned about a number of burglaries in portlaoise.
They appeared before Portlaoise District Court today charged with a number of offences.
One male has been kept in custody while the other got bail. A file is now with the Director of Public Prosecutions for directions on further charges.
