Five times World Darts Champion coming to Laois GAA club

A Laois GAA club are hosting a darts exhibition with five-time World Champion Raymond Van Barneveld on March 10.

Barney will be in Graiguecullen GAA clubhouse for an evening of entertainment where he will take on 20 local players with all proceeds on the night going to a local charity – Lourdes Invalid Fund.

Raymond van Barneveld is a Dutch professional darts player, currently playing in the Professional Darts Corporation.

Nicknamed Barney, he is one of the most successful darts players in history.

Van Barneveld is a five-time World Darts Champion, a two-time UK Open Champion and a former winner of the Las Vegas Desert Classic, the Grand Slam of Darts and the Premier League.

From January to June 2008, Van Barnevald was the world’s number one ranked player.

In November 2018 Van Barneveld announced his intention to retire from darts after the 2020 PDC World Championship.

Van Barnevald won his four BDO World Championships in 1998, 1999, 2003, 2005 and won one PDC World Championship in 2007.

Ticket prices are broken down as follows: VIP €25 which includes a meet and greet and Q&A – there are only 50 tickets available for this.

General admission €10.
