Laois minor ladies looking forward to must-win game against Wexford

Following their recent narrow defeat to Longford, the Laois Minor Ladies are back in action today against Wexford in St Patrick’s GAA Club, Enniscorthy at 12.30pm.

With recent returns from injury and holidays the squad is up to full strength and there is a refreshing air of optimism within the squad as they look forward to their next match in the Leinster ‘B’ Championship.

Speaking ahead of the game, manager Tom McKittrick spoke about the mood in the camp and on the challenge Wexford will bring to today’s encounter.

“There is a really positive mood in the Laois camp as training over the past few weeks.

“It has been very competitive and the players really want to get their championship challenge up and running this weekend against Wexford,” said McKittrick.

The strength in depth of the Laois squad is expected to be tested as there has never been much between themselves and Wexford down through the years in this age group.
