In Pictures: Laois Marlins sweep up the accolades at Wexford Gala

The Laois Marlins Swim Club was well represented at the Wexford Spring Gala on Sunday March 24.

There were 17 Marlins Swimmers taking part in over 60 swims, 11 girls and 6 boys.

The Wexford Gala is a level 3 Gala, which means the swimmers can gain those all important qualification times for the Summer Nationals.

On the day Laois Marlins competed very successfully with over 38 personal bests among them.

There were eight first placings, seven second placings and five third placings, showing Marlins definitely prefer first position.

The Marlins also added another six division times for qualification to the Summer nationals.

A special mention to all those swimmers who achieved placings on the day starting with the girls, Amy Bergin, Lucy Brennan, Orla Colley, Lena Kaminska and Caoimhe Moore.

For the boys there were Sam Farrell and Ignat Samuchov.
