The Laois senior footballers will take on Westmeath in the Division 3 league final on Saturday in Croke Park at 4.45pm.

And ahead of the game, there is largely positive news on the injury front.

The three players who missed the Carlow win, John O’Loughlin, Colm Begley and Benny Carroll, are all back in training and in contention to come back into the side.

Meanwhile, it is also believed that Danny O’Reilly and David Seale, who have been injured for more than a month, are also back fit.

Seale has not played since going off injured against Westmeath at the end of February while O’Reilly’s last game came at the start of February against Sligo.

It does look like manager Sugrue will be forced into one change though as Portarlington’s Robbie Pigott will almost certainly miss out.

He damaged his hamstring in training this week and is now a major doubt.

If he doesn’t make it, the most obvious replacement for him is the returning Colm Begley.

Laois face Westmeath as they go for their second National League title in a row on Saturday and you will be able to follow all of the action as it happens on our Live Blog.
