A large crowd attended the launch of “ Fiesta” , at Laois Arthouse, Stradbally on Wednesday 1st May.

The exhibition includes 21 individual paintings by members of the Stradbally Active Retirement Group.

This is the groups’ third annual exhibition at the Arthouse. The artists showing work include: Phyllis Bennett, Ettie Kennedy, Mary Whelan, Vera Donohue, Christy Moran, Tina Mulhall and Brendan Scully.

Special thanks must go to Ettie Kennedy who assisted in organising exhibition.

Speaking at the event Muireann Ni Chonaill remembered fondly an absent friend and former chairman of the Active Retirement group; Michael Mulhare RIP, who is sadly no longer with us.

Michael was a great friend to the Laois Arthouse.
