This weekend sees the beginning of the Laois LGFA senior championship take place, with four teams out in action.
St Brigid’s take on county champions Sarsfields while Timahoe and Portlaoise will clash in Rathleague.
Timahoe have lost out in hard semi-final draws to Sarsfields the past two years, but initially looked to run the eventual county champions close last year, with just two points between the sides at half-time.
Maureen Young, Mo Nerney, Sarah Quigley and young midfielder Sarah Larkin and Alice Dunne are all expected to play a key part in the Timahoe side this year.
Ahead of the game, we completed a 10 question video interview with Sarah Quigley, a former Laois ladies player and long-term member of the Timahoe Ladies side.
Sarah spoke about everything from her favourite memory of ladies football to her favourite singer and food.
Timahoe play Portlaoise in Rathleague, Portlaoise, on Sunday May 19 at 7pm.
