Closing date nears for tenth anniversary community and unsung hero awards

The closing date for receipt of applications for the 2019 Laois Community and Voluntary Awards is fast approaching.

The closing date for nominations is this Friday, July 5.

The purpose of the awards is to acknowledge groups and individuals who, through their commitment to voluntary and community activities, have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of life in their communities.

Laois County Council in partnership with Laois Public Participation Network and sponsored by People’s First Credit Union will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Laois Community and Voluntary Awards at a Gala Event in the Midlands Park Hotel later this year on Friday, October 18.

Do you know an individual or an organisation that is deserving of recognition then time is of the essence with nominations for this year’s special tenth anniversary awards closing in the next 48 hours.

Nominations can be made across a number of categories including: arts, culture, heritage; healthy and active community, children and youth; environment, social inclusion, age friendly and unsung hero.
