Two tremendous fundraisers are underway for the Laois Alzheimer’s Society next month.
A golf competition and vintage road run will be held, with all funds going to the The Alzheimer Society of Ireland Laois branch.
The Heath Golf Club are hosting an open golf competition on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
For a three person team event (any combination – two scores to count on each hole) cost €30 per team.
Prizes go to the first place winners in Best Men’s Team, Best Ladies Team, Best Mixed Team.

Following this, Raheen Vintage Club will host a Vintage Road Run on Sunday, September 15, 2019.
The run will commence from Colt GAA pitch, Raheen, Laois.
Registration will start from 11am and we will depart at 12.30pm sharp. Vintage Cars, Vintage and Modern Tractors, Motorbikes and Lorries welcome.
Registration fee is €20 per vehicle and there will be donation buckets out on the day. There will also be a raffle on the day to raise more funds.
Each year Raheen Vintage Club holds several events such as vintage runs, ploughing day or a Vintage Show for different charities with this run in aid of the Laois Alzheimer’s Society.
Established in 2009, the vintage club are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.
Laois Alzheimer’s Society Resource Centre at 47 Main Street Portlaoise is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
