Beloved Partner of Nikki. Predeceased by his four brothers and two sisters. Cherished father of Katie and Stephanie.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, mother-in-law Pam, father-in-law Bob, brothers P.J. and Michael, sisters Mary, Judy, Aggie and Mag, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his sister Mary’s residence, 28 Portlaoise Road, Abbeyleix, on Thursday from 7.30pm, with rosary at 8.30pm. Removal on Friday for 11.30am Mass in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise. Burial afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Mary-Emma Fergus (née Davis)
Main St, Portlaoise, Laois/Renmore, Galway

FERGUS (nee Davis) Main St., Portlaoise and late of Renmore, Galway August 23rd 2019. Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary-Emma, beloved wife of Bryan and dearly loved mum of Siobhán and Bebhinn, cherished grandmother to Lorcán, sadly missed by her loving family, sisters Kathleen and Josephine, brother Liam, son-in-law Paul, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her sister Joan.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise from 7pm on Sunday evening with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment afterward in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, in lieu to Laois Hospice and the Irish Cancer society.

Newtown, Clonard, Mountrath, Laois/Roscrea, Tipperary

Joseph (Joe) Delaney, Newtown, Clonard, Mountrath, Co. Laois – 23rd August 2019, (unexpectedly) at St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his sister Ann Devlin (Liverpool), Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary and cherished children Brendan, Colm, Catherine (Rafter), Miriam (Dooley), Sinéad (Clancy), sister May Cahill (London), brothers Liam, P.J., and Séan (Roscrea), adored grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his son Brendan and Valerie’s residence (eircode R32 P5Y2) this Saturday from 4 o’clock, with Rosary at 8 o’clock, also reposing on Sunday from 2 o’clock, with Rosary at 8 o’clock. Removal on Monday to St. Edmund’s Church Castletown (eircode R32 KT22), arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Kennedy (Kinsale and Clonaslee, Co. Laois) on August 23rd 2019 at Cork University Hospital. Patrick (Pat) beloved husband of the late Sylvia (née Cummins), Ballinacubby Estate.

Sadly missed by his loving mother-in-law Sheila and her partner Jerry, brothers Joe and Seamus, sisters Anne, Breda and Theresa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and his large circle of friends.

Lying in repose at Gabriel and O’Donovan’s Funeral Home, Kinsale. Rosary on Saturday at 8pm. Lying in repose on Sunday from 7pm followed by Removal at 8pm to St. John the Baptist Church, Kinsale. Requiem Mass on Monday at 3pm, funeral afterwards to St. Eltin’s Cemetery Kinsale. Donations in lieu of flowers to The Dialysis Unit in Cork University Hospital.

Hume, The Downs, Portlaoise. August 20th 2019 (Suddenly) at St. James’ Hospital Dublin. Aoife, dearly loved daughter to Noel and Rose. Loving sister to Aisling and Niamh and cherished aunt to Robert and Malachy. Deepy regretted by her loving family, brothers-in-law Malachy and Damien, cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

Reposing at The Downs from 5pm on Friday evening with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

John Doyle
Gaol Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny/Laois

Doyle (2 Gaol Road, Kilkenny and late of Spink, Co. Laois) 22nd August 2019, peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, John (ex Transport Sergeant, James Stephens Barracks), beloved husband of Kitty and much loved father of Agnes, Karen, Sean, David, Colette, Andrew, Owen, Graham and the late baby Paul, sadly missed by his wife and family, brothers Paul and Michael, sister Bernie, sons-in-law Jimmy, Michael and Larry, daughters-in-law Anne, Glynis, Lorraine and Susan, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Saturday (24th August) from 4 o’clock with Rosary at 7.30 o’clock. Removal on Sunday morning to St. Mary’s Cathedral, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10 o’clock. Interment afterwards in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. House private on Sunday please.

Maura Healy (née Murphy)
Homefarm, Knockavanny, Tuam, Galway / Laois

And formerly Kilcoke and Crannagh, Co. Laois. Peacefully at her residence, in the loving care of her family. Predeceased by her husband John P. Sadly missed by her loving daughter Bernadette, sister Anna (Cooke), brother Michael, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and wide circle of friends.

Remains reposing in Glynn’s Funeral Home, High St., Tuam this Thursday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00 pm followed by removal to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam. Funeral Mass Friday at 12.30 pm followed by burial in Dunmore Cemetery. Family flowers only. donations, if desired, to Galway Hospice, Palliative Care.

Sean (Digger Sean) Conroy, Glebe, Clonaslee, Co Laois. Died on the 20th of August 2019, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, Co. Laois surrounded by his loving family. Formerly in the tender loving care of the staff of St Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen, Portlaoise. Dearly loved husband of Mary and loving father of Tricia, Jackie, Geraldine, John and Paul. He will be very sadly missed by his adored grandchildren, Emma, Amy, Shane, Dara, Kevin, Fionn and Rian. Deeply regretted by his sisters Josie (London) and Kathy (Emo), daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Wednesday from 1pm with removal at 7pm to St. Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee. Family Flowers only, donations in lieu to St Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen, Residence Fund.

Eleanor (Eileen) Deane
Mountmellick, Laois/Marino, Dublin

Eleanor (Eileen) Deane, Mountmellick, Co. Laois and formerly Marino, Dublin. Died August 20th 2019 peacefully in the wonderful and loving care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Mountmellick in her 97th year. Sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.

Prayer Service in Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Friday evening August 23rd at 7.30pm. Thanksgiving Service for Eileen’s life will take place at St. John The Baptist Church, Church Avenue, Drumcondra on Saturday morning August 24th at 11 O’Clock. Interment after in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton, Co. Dublin.
